Anna-Katherine is now 6! And what a better way to celebrate with a cowgirl birthday party. These invites were themed for her birthday party that was held at a Brantley Farms in Daphne, AL -- the perfect location for this cowgirl's celebration. Sending lots of birthday wishes to Anna-Katherine! Thanks for the order Beth!

Little feet, little nose . . .
. . . little fingers, little toes:) I just love babies and this little man is precious! Collins Lee Thornton made it into the world on July 12th. This little bundle of joy belongs to Nathan and Tracy Thornton. His pictures were taken by Little Shoes Studios of Daphne, AL. I have to say, this is the most fun I've had designing a photo card because Collins is so stinkin' cute! Thanks for the order Tracy!

Football Fever
Fall is here and that means one thing in the south . . . football! And for boys like Grant, it's time to keep it real on your birthday and show what you're really made of - crimson and white. His invitations were a ticket to the best game of the season! Bleeding a bit of crimson myself, I was happy to be a part of the action. Happy 8th birthday Grant! Thanks for the order Beth!

RHS Class of 2010
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose..." - Dr. Seuss
I can't believe that the day is finally here that my baby sister has graduated from high school! Seems like just yesterday I was peering into the nursery window at the hospital, babysitting her on Friday nights, watching endless episodes of Barney, and attending soccer games. But as Dr. Seuss so simply put it, "Oh, the places you'll go!" I'm so proud of her as she pushes ahead to attend the University of West Alabama. I've also had the pleasure of taking her senior portraits and designing her invitations along with her childhood friend Tyler York. There's not much more for me to say on this post before I get all weepy...lol. Congrats Kelsey & Tyler! Thanks for the order Mrs. Bobbi!
* For more images from both of the photo shoots, see my Fickr or Facebook page.

Sweet Southern Wedding Shower
There's nothing quite like a large family wedding shower here in the south and the Mullek family certainly has the ideal place to host such a gathering. Paired with beautiful weather, I'm sure the party was a hit this past Saturday! Kristy and Bill are blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family and I wish them nothing but the best. Here's to the future Mr. & Mrs. McCandless! Thanks for the order Sue!

It's a Petting Zoo!
My cousin's twins are turning 2 years old and I can't believe how quickly the time has flown by. They are the cutest kids! (And for those of you who know them, you'll agree I'm sure:) They are going to have the most exciting birthday party with a petting zoo at their barnyard next weekend and I can't wait to see the kids interact with the animals. So a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY goes out to Brennan and Brylee:) Thanks for the order Courtney!

Naughty and Nice
There's a bachelorette in town about to make the big leap! So the girls are throwing her a naughty and nice lingerie shower to celebrate. It's going to be a fun filled party with lots of martini's (and if it was anything like my lingerie shower, lots of laughs, too:). Cammie's wedding is planned to be a black and white affair with beautiful sunflowers so the invitations were matched accordingly. Here's to a great girls night out! Thanks for the order Suzie. Cheers!

Tori turns 5!
There's something special about a 5th birthday party and I'm so glad to be a part of it! Miss Tori Hite is turning 5 years old and her friends are joining her at Kangarooz to celebrate. What a fun birthday!!! Heck, after looking at the pictures on their website, I think I want a birthday party there, too! Hmm . . . I wonder if my friends would come? I could just see a bunch of grownups ending up at the chiropractor after that one. Ugghhh . . .
Nevertheless, Tori is going to have a great time with her friends! Below are her invites and matching thank you cards. Thanks for the order Jamie!

baby shower | keri driver
Well the vacation, holidays, and the busy season of my full time job kept me away from blogging and so I'm posting this invitation a little late. But I'm back and this invitation is too cute not to share! Owls are making a comeback and why not...they are adorable! So here's to Keri Driver and her new baby girl! Thanks for the order Tiffany!

baby shower | misti hickman
Another baby is on the way and another baby shower invitation is born:) From what I understand, this will be a baby born into an LSU household so a baby tiger on the card was in order. Now I'm an Alabama fan, so I can't exactly pull for the tigers but it sure does make for a cute invitation! Thanks for the order Suzie!

baby shower | jennifer shirley
It's that time . . . time for my age group to start the baby boom! It seems like lots of little ones are either already here or on the way. It's so much fun to see mini versions of all of my friends. It's like watching ourselves when we were young, although it doesn't seem so long ago that we were running around the elementary school without a care in the world. If we only knew how good we had it back then!
Jennifer Ullrich Shirley is one of those friends that I have several great memories with in elementary school:) I'm so glad that I was able to do her invitations for one of her showers (I say "one" b/c I think she had several this weekend . . . lol.) Below are pictures of the invitations and matching thank you notes. Congrats Jennifer!

getting started
There's something difficult about starting a project. (So I've erased the second sentence at least 6 times now...lol.) But at some point, you just have to dive in head first. It's like your first time jumping into the pool by yourself. Scary, yes...but once it's over, it's so worth it! That's my feeling getting this blog started. I know that it will be the start of something great if I just do it. (Now it feels like a Nike commercial. Ha!)

For those of you who don't know me, I'm just a small town girl with a creative spirit. I currently work as a art director for a publishing firm designing travel related magazines, but I have a particular passion for paper and designing invitations. I love to get feedback and bounce ideas off other creative people. I'm so excited about sharing my thoughts/ideas and hearing yours. You can see a few samples of my previous work below. More to come! Thanks for stopping by!
