baby shower | jennifer shirley

It's that time . . . time for my age group to start the baby boom! It seems like lots of little ones are either already here or on the way. It's so much fun to see mini versions of all of my friends. It's like watching ourselves when we were young, although it doesn't seem so long ago that we were running around the elementary school without a care in the world. If we only knew how good we had it back then!

Jennifer Ullrich Shirley is one of those friends that I have several great memories with in elementary school:) I'm so glad that I was able to do her invitations for one of her showers (I say "one" b/c I think she had several this weekend . . . lol.) Below are pictures of the invitations and matching thank you notes. Congrats Jennifer!

getting started

There's something difficult about starting a project. (So I've erased the second sentence at least 6 times now...lol.) But at some point, you just have to dive in head first. It's like your first time jumping into the pool by yourself. Scary, yes...but once it's over, it's so worth it! That's my feeling getting this blog started. I know that it will be the start of something great if I just do it. (Now it feels like a Nike commercial. Ha!)

For those of you who don't know me, I'm just a small town girl with a creative spirit. I currently work as a art director for a publishing firm designing travel related magazines, but I have a particular passion for paper and designing invitations. I love to get feedback and bounce ideas off other creative people. I'm so excited about sharing my thoughts/ideas and hearing yours. You can see a few samples of my previous work below. More to come! Thanks for stopping by!
